Methodological Seminar: “Building Resilience in Children Through Therapeutic Toys”
The NGO “Genofond of the Nation” held a methodological seminar for psychologists focused on implementing the specialized PI2 (toy-assisted therapy) methodology in working with children experiencing the effects of war. The method aims to build resilience, develop adaptive behavioral strategies, and strengthen children’s psychological resilience through the use of therapeutic toys.
During the seminar, participants familiarized themselves with the theoretical foundations of the methodology, received practical guidelines for working with children and parents exhibiting symptoms of traumatic stress, and practiced modern play-based techniques for psychological support. The specialists were provided with instructional materials and therapeutic tools, enabling them to integrate the methodology into their professional practice to foster emotional resilience, self-regulation, and the effective management of the consequences of psychologically traumatic events.
