Methodological seminar "The Archetypal Power of Dinosaurs: The Image of the Primal Giant"

The NGO “Genofond of the Nation” held a methodological seminar dedicated to the use of the archetypal image of the “primordial giant” in play therapy work with children and adolescents. The event was aimed at deepening the understanding of the symbolic role of the image of the giant as a metaphor for strength, fear, endurance and transformation, as well as its application in psychological assistance to children who have experienced traumatic experiences.

During the seminar, participants explored the archetypal meaning of the image of the giant and the toy dinosaur as a therapeutic tool that helps a child safely process strong emotions, integrate traumatic experiences and form an internal sense of control and security. Practical approaches to the use of symbolic play, work with emotional memory and bodily regulation were presented, which can be integrated into the professional activities of psychologists, play therapists, art therapists and specialists working with child trauma.
